With operations in 50 countries and over 100 production sites, BMI is the UK and Ireland’s only manufacturer of both pitched and flat roofing solutions. From initial discussions right through to final sign off, their goal is to deliver end-to-end solutions and support that are custom built to exceed expectations.

BMI Redland draws on the expertise and experience gathered from over 100 years within the industry.

Redland's range of tiles, slates, renewable energy systems, fittings and accessories, combined with market-leading technical support services, enable them to deliver total pitched roofing solutions you can rely on.

BMI Redland have a reputation for innovation that has seen them consistently champion new products and practices over the years. Many of these have become standard solutions for the roofing industry.

For example, they have responded to demand for renewable energy with the InDaX PV modules, that are one of the few designed specifically for the UK’s weather conditions and building standards. So rather than import European systems, whose specifications and tolerances to wind uplift and rain are designed for a more benign environment, BMI Redland are providing specifiers and householders with a bespoke product to fit the climate they live in.

The development of Innofix Clip has revolutionised the way roofs are fixed. Innofix Clip was developed in response to the significant changes in BS 5534, the Code of Practice for slating and tiling. The tool-free clip speeds up the installation of a roof by up to 40% and it was widely recognised by the construction industry press, winning the Housebuilder Product of the Year, and the Building Product Innovation of the Year awards in 2016.

Underpinning their roofing expertise is the purpose-built BMI National Training Centre at South Cerney in Gloucestershire where BMI Redland customers, suppliers, specifiers and colleagues regularly undertake in-depth training.

Teaching at the Centre is carried out on the model roofs in workshops and classrooms with courses ranging from a basic understanding of pitched roofing, to instructing on estimating or exploring the causes of roof defects in order to recognise poor workmanship and product defects. Many of our courses contain a high level of practical teaching in both pitched and flat roofing with the new flat roof training rigs..

As a member of the RIBA CPD Providers Network, BMI Redland also deliver a number of RIBA-accredited CPD seminars at customers’ own premises and we offer bespoke courses for companies who have a particular subject they would like assistance with

The tiles in the BMI Redland profile range have been carefully selected to reflect the vast variety of profile roofing in use across the country, from traditional handmade styles right up to contemporary designs for today’s urban landscape. These precision-made interlocking clay and concrete tiles come in a wide variety of colours and finishes.

Abundant and durable, slate was for centuries the signature roofing material of Wales, the South West, the North West and Scotland.  Today, Redland’s extensive slate and slate appearance tile range allows specifiers to preserve those regional traditions while creating roofs that are even stronger and more durable than the originals they are replacing  The BMI Redland plain tile range offers a huge selection of colours and finishes to match the many and varied styles still seen around the UK. With a wide choice of clay and concrete tiles suited to almost any pitched roof design, they will produce striking roofs of timeless quality.
